Renowned internationally for his expertise in Quantity Surveying, Construction Governance, and Dispute Resolution, he has made significant contributions to advancing the construction industry and technical education both in Sri Lanka and globally.

Professor Jayalath earned his BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, where he laid the foundation for his career with exceptional academic performance. He later completed a Doctor of Science in Management of Engineering and Technology from California Southern University, further solidifying his expertise. Complementing his technical background, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Mediation from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), making him a sought-after expert in construction law and dispute resolution.

Currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology at the University of Vocational Technology (UoVT), Sri Lanka, Professor Jayalath has been instrumental in revolutionizing technical education.
