Professor Chandana Jayalath is an internationally acclaimed expert in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management, with over 30 years of experience in academia and industry. As the former Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology at the University of Vocational Technology, Sri Lanka, he has driven educational innovation and global standards. Being a Doctor of Science and Fellow of RICS (UK), his expertise spans forensic delay analysis and construction law, complemented by leadership roles in major international projects.

Professor Chandana Jayalath earned his BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, establishing a strong foundation in the field with exceptional academic performance. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to excellence, he pursued advanced studies, culminating in a Doctor of Science in Management of Engineering and Technology from California Southern University. His academic journey is complemented by a Postgraduate Diploma in International Mediation from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK, solidifying his expertise in construction law and dispute resolution. Throughout his career, Professor Jayalath has held pivotal academic leadership roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology at the University of Vocational Technology (UoVT), where he revolutionized technical education through innovative curricula and state-of-the-art research facilities.
